How quickly will I received my refund?


Most refunds are issued under 21 business days. Filing a paper return usually takes longer than filing electronically.




How do I determine my filing status?

When should I file my tax return?


Taxes should be filed no later than April 15th each year. If you can't file your taxes on time, you must file Form 4868 for an automatic 6-month extension.




How do I pay for my fees?


You can pay out of pocket using debit/credit, cash or check; If using a check, make payable to Monroe Tax Connect. Can't pay up front? You can also have the fees taken out your refund. Please ask your tax professional for more details.




Do I qualify for the Recovery Rebate Credit?


All legally permitted first and second round of Economic Impact Payments have been issued. If individuals didn’t receive all or part of their payment, they may be eligible to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit with their 2020 tax return. Taxpayers can confirm their stimulus payments either by referencing IRS-mailed Payment Confirmation Notices 1444 and 1444-B, checking their bank account activity, or verifying issued payments through the Get My Payment tool on the IRS website.
